Treeton's
1st team visited Barnsley's Shaw Lane ground and
came away victorious and notched up their twelth
victory of the season in the process.
Having
been invited to field first, Treeton restricted
the hosts to 171 all out, with Ben Ashdown the
pick of the bowlers again, with a return of 5
for 21 from eight overs.
Treeton
had little trouble losing just one wicket in the
run chase as they reached 174 thanks to Andy Tomlinson
(78) and an unbeaten 65 from Stephen Foster. The
1st XI maintained their eleven point lead at the
top of the Premier League table.
The
2nd XI maintained their place in the promotion
slot in Division two after seeing off the challenge
of Maltby at Washfield Lane.
Mick Fairman won the toss and invited Maltby to
set score, and they reached a competitive 181
for 9, with the skipper himself returning with
4 for 59 from 15 overs.
Treeton
stumbled in their pursuit, but the late order
rallied as Adam Hardy (24 not out) and Steve Bullough
(35 not out) guided the home side to victory with
three overs to spare.
The
3rd XI were second best away at Totley B, the
3rd team posted 208 for 6 with Dave Haddock scoring
56 and Matthew Eastwood top scoring with an unbeaten
78.

suffered a heavy defeat though as the visitors
