Everyone at the Club would like to congratulate Gary Montgomery on his recent success with Lancashire CCC 2nd XI after being invited to the club on a trial basis and has so far impressed with a bag full of wickets which may hopefully earn him a contract with the county.

Gary made an instant impression with the red rose when he picked up four wickets on his debut against Nottinghamshire in the Second Eleven Trophy followed by ten wickets in the three day match against the same opposition as he collected seven wickets in the first innings accompanied with a further three wickets in the second innings.

'Monty' didn't stop there though when the following week against MCC Young cricketers he picked up six wickets in the Second Eleven Trophy one day match and then nine wickets in the match in the three day competition also against MCC Young cricketers.
